  Have been here a few times and usually very pleased, however upon visiting today I’m not sure I’ll go back. We walked in to see if there was a table available as we had some family joining us. As we walked back up to the counter too look at the food, we were met with a “oh bye then” from the staff, who I guess thought we were leaving. We then looked at the selection of sandwiches, none of which were labelled so I asked a guy what these were. The response was “Sandwiches”. I was left looking at him waiting for a response. “Well you didn’t ask what was in them”. After finally picking what we wanted, I also asked to pay for a coke, met with a “We don’t sell Coke”, while I’m holding the bottle. “We have Coca Cola”. The guy then processed to make similar jokes with his colleagues, one about our order telling another to prep something completely different to what we ordered then saying it was a joke. I’m all for a bit of humour but when it comes across as sarcastic and rude, it’s just bad customer service and unfortunately put us off from returning again. The cafe was empty, and I’m not surprised if this is the level of service Esquires is willing to accept. When the food came, the lettuce in the salad was brown. We were offered a glass and ice but they gave us the smallest glass possible. Just poor.

  Coffee was huge, tasted great. DO NOT have scrambled eggs, they are microwaved 🤮

  I’ve been a few times and the coffee is always nice, but the food can be hit or miss. I ordered the American pancake breakfast and was disappointed — the sausage was cold and the mini hash browns were still frozen in the middle. I’m hoping it was just an off day, as I haven’t had issues before.

  I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Tom, Taylor and Sophie for truly going above and beyond. They helped me get a battery out of the packaging without hesitation and didn’t give up until we got it sorted, which I really appreciated. Please can someone get them a new pair of scissors? On top of that, the food was incredible. The scrambled eggs on sourdough and the ultimate cheese melt were absolutely divine. Such amazing service all round. I’ll definitely be back! :)
